Senior Sawfish Pilot

Triton Logging, the world’s leading underwater logging company, is currently seeking an experienced Junior Sawfish Pilot. Reporting to the senior sawfish pilot, the position will work within Triton’s forest operations group in Malaysia.

The Senior Sawfish Pilot is responsible for keeping the Sawfish and its control systems properly maintained and operate the Sawfish in a safe and efficient manner to maximize wood production. This position is also a supervisory position where the incumbent will provide leadership, technical and piloting training to Junior Sawfish Pilots. The Senior Sawfish Pilot will also work with the Harvest Supervisor to ensure safe and productive work environment.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• A minimum of 2000 hours of free flying workclass ROVs;
• Experience in hydraulics as they relate to ROV systems;
• Experience in high and low voltage electrical systems as they relate to ROVs;
• Experience in sonar and underwater navigation systems;
• Experience in computer hardware and windows based software;
• Experience with PLCs and PLC software/code (Programmable Logic Controller).
• Minimum 5 years experience as a ROV supervisor;
• Marine Safety certificate;
• Small craft operators certificate;
• Current basic first training.

• Ability to teach and train junior pilots in all aspects of the Sawfish;
